AMTAP: brief history Academy of Music, Theatre and Fine Arts (AMTAP) is a successor of different institutions: the Moldavian State Conservatory founded in 1940 institutions which activated in Chisinau in s, inc. Municipal Conservatoire and Unirea Conservatory founded in 1919 by the George Enescu’ initiative Faculty of Theatre, Film and Dance begins its history in 1959 when the first group of students on specialty "theater and cinema actor" has been formed. In 1965 the Acting and directing chair was founded at the Institute of Arts. In 1988 the Theatre Faculty was established being completed in 1999 by new specialties and getting name Faculty of Dramatic Arts and Arts Management. In 1984 the Faculty of Fine Arts was founded At present the Academy of Music, Theatre and Fine Arts covers all areas of undergraduate and postgraduate education. AMTAP was accredited in July 2006 and in July 2009 received a scientific accreditation obtaining the respective certificates.

AMTAP’ curricula Studying languages are Romanian and Russian
No courses taught in English 2 semesters x 16 weeks each Curriculum is based on the artistic dimension and combines classes-individual work-seminars. Learning outcomes are based on new Study Plans have been elaborated on all disciplines; now we make a review of them The internal quality assurance is realized through the activity of AMTAP Quality Assessment Council The National Framework of Qualifications has been revised and all the artistic specialties have been included

The credit recogniton system
The Republic of Moldova has joined the Bologna Process in May 2005, in Bergen, Norway. Since 2005 a number of reforms has been made, including: The ECTS implementation in the Republic of Moldova’ higher institutions inc. AMTAP: • First cycle of higher education 60 credits for one year of study; • Second cycle: credits. • Third cycle: credits are not assigned. In order to ensure transparency titles/qualifications and study documents of higher education graduates Diploma Supplement by European model is issued.

The AMTAP’ activities Many different artistic stuffs: Student’s Symphony orchestra, folk instruments orchestra, 3 chamber choirs, Opera studio, dance groups, etc. Every year we organize 2 major students events: Martisor music festival, 1-10 March each year and ClassFest, international festival of theatre schools, 4-9 of April) European and international projects inc. Danube Youth Orchestra, Chisinau Youth Orchestra, Piano - the mirror of European culture etc.) Collaboration agreements with higher institutions from Europe and Eastern Partnership countries (Romania, Belorussia, Ukraine)

The AMTAP’ experiences
We don’t have experience of TEMPUS or ERASMUS MUNDUS projects We hope that HUMERIA will become an example of good practice for us with the help of all our partners, as in the Beatles’ song: With a little help of my friends! Thank you for your attention!
