8. Wonders Literacy Guided Reading: Small group instruction using leveled readers. Each student will be placed in a guided reading group according to their skill level. Guided reading allows for differentiated instruction in reading.

13. Language Arts In Language Arts, teachers will introduce book and print awareness, phonemic awareness, decoding, and encoding, as well as reading and language comprehension through Wonders lessons and Core Knowledge literature, poetry, sayings, nursery rhymes, and fables.
