3 News  Start off a debate  council set out a motion– urged on by Major Rob Ford  Ford succeeded  Also other council-David Shiner approved a other motion  End up with outright ban  Surprised: the motion came out of the blue from council David Shiner

Did he succeed?  What was the other motion?  What was the debate end up with?  About getting rid of an unpopular five-cent fee for a plastic bag  He urged on getting rid of the fee and he succeed in getting that fee scrapped  The other emotion is prohibiting retailers from giving out or selling plastic shopping bag  End up with outright ban on plastic bag on Jan1,2013
