Introduction A news reporter is someone who brings you the latest news going on in the world weather it be natural disasters or award ceremonies. Many stories from news reporters are in news papers or magazines but the most interesting ones are on T.V!

Highlights! Some of the highlights are the great salary and being able to travel for work. You may also get to meet celebrities, you also get free clothes to wear on camera, you will most likely get the best seats at movie premieres, sports games and other productions.

Lowlights. Some of the lowlights are the hours of research, always being on the go for the best stories, the short relationships because of the traveling and being put in dangerous places to get the scoop.

Qualifications The Qualifications for a reporter are a degree in journalism, broadcasting or law. When in school it is a good idea to be in a newspaper team or a broadcasting team. The type of person employers will be looking for are honest, self motivated, well presented and is confident in front of large groups of people.

Typical Day Basically you would be getting up early if on a breakfast show, getting a script, rehearsing the script and finally you will be put through make up and called onto camera. Usually during breaks you would be researching new stories and finding out what you’ll be doing on the evening show.

Salary The salary for a news reporter changes so much you can’t exactly pinpoint how much you should be paid, also a reporter would be paid highest in Auckland than any where else in New Zealand the salary can also depend on how popular you are, the more popular you are the more you can demand to get paid.

Why it is for ME!! Because I’m better and younger and way more talented than Simon Dallow I mean come on people he must be way over 40. But seriously I think that I have skills needed to be a news reporter I am confident when speaking in front of an audience and my reading and writing skills are very good which is needed to be a successful news reporter, I also enjoy researching most topics and changing stories into my own words

Conclusion As you can see a the job as a News reporter is a tough but rewarding job with fame, fortune and great life opportunities
