ALL Sophomores will be taking the PSAT on Wednesday October 15 th Periods 1-SRT Report to your SRT for 1 st period You are all receiving a Student Guide that will help prepare you for the test Test taking tips, practice questions, etc

3 basic academic areas important for success in college: Critical Reading Mathematics Problem-Solving Writing Skills

1 point for each correct answer (regardless of difficulty) For incorrect answers to multiple choice questions, a quarter (1/4) of a point is deducted Nothing is deducted for unanswered questions or for incorrect answers to student-produced response questions Scores are converted on the PSAT scale between 20-80

These are the scores that students should meet or exceed to be considered on track to be college ready Sophomores: Critical Reading-42 Mathematics-44 Writing-42 Composite-133 **If you add a “0” to the end of your scores, those would be your estimated SAT scores
