15 Advantages and Disadvantages of Using Email 1.In small groups, brainstorm some of the advantages and disadvantages of using email with students 2.Take notes on the handout provided and be prepared to share with the group

21 Tips for Grading 1.Maintain an accurate, up-to-date record of student grades 2.Tell students value of questions/ assignments/exams 3.Clarify partial credit, late submissions, re-grade policies 4.Develop a grading rubric 5.Discuss rubrics with fellow TAs if more than one TA does the grading 6.Provide timely and sufficient feedback 7.Know the policies regarding student privacy rights
