MOS BURGER@NCHU An Online ordering system for MOS BURGER@NCHU -------Available or not? Student: Eric Ethan Eason Today Ivan Adviser: Dr. John

Yes! We think it’s a great idea to build an online ordering system for MOS. Yes! We think it’s a great idea to build an online ordering system for MOS.

Online Ordering System Industry Human Resources Customer System Availability Food Making

Industrial Type Peak v.s Off-peak Product capacity Services industry is not like the manufacturing industry that can store as inventory. At noon, dinner time and each short break belong to peak period, the rest of times are off-peak period. Therefore, a balance between off-peak and peak product capacity is important. We believe that the online ordering system is feasible.

There will be lots of customers to consume at some particular time in MOS@NCHU, fewer customer flow volume in the rest of the time. All guests gathering in the same time to consume will cause a huge pressure on staffs, while staffs is too easy in the other time?(what’s this????), which leads to a waste of human resources. Assuming that we build an online ordering system, it can reduce the waste of manpower and can use the manpower more efficiently. Online Ordering System

The main customer of the campus branch is college student, who has only 10 minutes break time that they can order in MOS. Assuming that his going from the classroom to MOS takes 3 minutes, whose meal takes another 6 -10 minutes to wait, and going back to the classroom also takes 3 minutes, which takes total 12-16 minutes a meal for a student at MOS. The long waiting time reduces the desire of buying, and this waiting period of time is blank and do nothing. If MOS has an online ordering system, this waiting period will reduce into 3 +1 +3 = 7. Go to MOS 3minutes Waiting 6-10 minutes Going Back 3minutes 12-16 minutes Go to MOS 3minutes Waiting 1minute Going Back 3minutes 7minutes

On the part of the making the meal, MOS (NCHU) provides the main meal can be divided into four parts: Hamburger Hamburger Material Drink Fried Food belonging to a simple assembly, will be put into a variety of food materials. The waiting time for ordering Hamburg is the shortest. we can prepare the same material such as fry meat pieces to cook in advance. the counter on-site installation Cup, although the appointment system in this part of the benefits of a smaller, but still can be a timely reduction in customer waiting time can also be a slight peak times to relieve the pressure. (such as fried chicken, 320s, chicken, French fries) MOS has only two deep-fried pots to use and use them each order by each order. Supposed you use the online ordering system in ordering a fried chicken, for example, it can gather all fried chicken order to fry so that you can improve the productivity of the pots.

Computers are so essential and popular among college students. MOS online ordering system is workable for the main customers who belong to college. MOS online ordering system also has advantage that ordering by the internet is nearly free of charge. Phone ordering needs fee and it is inconvenient, compared to the online order system. $ Ordering System

We believe that this system must have: Displays all the menu Tell us how long we can have our meals To be able to take meals at particular choice time To be able to meet some special needs ( Ex. Hamburg without butter, without lettuce)
