Ex: I worked hard yesterday.  Add ‘D’ to the verb ends with “e” Ex: I invited my friends to the party last week.  Y + consonant cross Y and add “ied” Ex: I studied English yesterday.  Y + vowel add “ed” Ex: I enjoyed the film last night.  One vowel + consonant double the last letter and add “ed” Ex: Last summer, I travelled to Alex.
