Journal 11-13-14 Word of the Day - Exhume “The student exhumed the missing assignment from the depths of the backpack that spewed math practices, worksheets, and term papers.” Word-of-the-day 1.Write the word and the sentence below. 2.Determine the word’s meaning. Today you will: listen to an audio recording, “Fun Bat Facts” and collect (exhume) bat facts in Note Cloud fashion. Then you will read the text, “My Life as a Bat” to cross- reference the two texts, checking to see if Margaret Atwood was factually accurate. Your goal is to write a thesis statement for an essay you will write tomorrow: PROMPT: Write an essay determining whether the story details of “My Life as a Bat” are factually accurate with the facts you collected from the “Fun Bat Facts” audio.
