Pre-Existing Condition –We are all very sick! –Sin is the most devastating disease – Jn. 8:34 The only disease that separates from God – Is. 59:2 The only disease that infects everyone – Rom. 3:23 The only disease no one can inherit – Ezek. 18:20 There’s only one diagnosis death – Rom. 6:23 –Satan, the serpent, is the infector – 1 John 3:8 Deceitfully makes sin look appealing – James 1:14 Plays on our own lusts & desires – 1 John 2:15-17 His ultimate goal is to devour – 1 Peter 5:8 –Do not be deceived! – James 1:13-16

Provider –Treats each patient impartially – Acts 10:34-35 –The very One we sin against is the very One who provides us a means of “recovery” He is caring – 1 Peter 5:7; Psa. 27:10; Heb. 2:6 He is loving – Eph. 2:4; 1 John 4:8-11 He is patient – 2 Pet. 3:9, 15; Rom. 2:4; Psa. 86:15 He is merciful – 1 Pet. 1:3; Psa. 103:8; 117:2 He is able – 2 Tim. 1:12; Eph. 3:20; Dan. 3:17; 6:20 –God is the only provider – Mark 2:7; Isa. 43:25 No man can be saved by any other – Acts 4:12

(2) Stay Saved! (1) Be Saved! Prescription –“Everyone who Believes in God, will be pleasing to Him – Heb. 11:6 Comes to Christ, will be given rest – Matt. 11:28 Truly loves God, will be born of God – 1 John 4:7 Trusts in God, will be delivered – 2 Cor. 1:9-10 Believes Jesus is God’s Son, will be saved – Acts 16:31 Believes the words of the Bible, will be complete – 2 Tim. 3:16-17 Obeys the will of God, will be set free from sin – Rom. 6:16-18 Repents/Turns from sin, will have sins blotted out – Acts 3:19 Denies himself, will become a follower of Christ – Luke 9:23 Confesses his faith, will be saved – Romans 10:9-10 Is immersed in water, will rec. remission of sins – Acts 2:38; 22:16 Remains steadfast, will be rewarded – 1 Cor. 15:58 Serves faithfully, will enter the joy of the Lord – Matt. 25:23 Puts the Lord and His church first, will be blessed – Matt. 6:33 Presents body as living sacrifice, will be acceptable – Rom. 12:1 Lives a non-conformed/holy life, will be acceptable – Rom. 12:2 is bitten (by sin), when he…”…anyone”– Mt. 11:28; Rev. 22:17

Prognosis –The obedient “shall live” – Heb. 5:9; Mt. 7:21; Rev. 22:14 –Therefore, the disobedient or un-obedient “shall die” – 2 Th. 1:7-9; Heb. 2:1-2; Rev. 21:8 –God’s PERFECT healthcare plan is: The ONLY insurance against death – John 11:26 The ONLY guarantee for life – John 5:24; Rom. 6:22-23

Payment? –Who’s going to pay for all of this? All have sinned – Rom. 3:23 There is none righteous – Rom. 3:10 Salvation is “not of yourselves” – Eph. 2:8 –Hear these words of Jesus: “Without Me you can do nothing!” – John 15:5 “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick.” – Mark 2:17

Payment? –The Great Physician Knew of our pre-existing condition – Rom. 5:8 Was sent by the impartial Provider – John 3:17 Prescribed the only means by which to live – John 6:63, 68 Paid the price Himself for our sins – 1 Tim. 2:6
