4 Rec Lax Coaching Philosophy US Lacrosse “Double Goal Coach”:  Winning is important.  Learning life lessons is more important. Use USL skills learned  Parent meeting at beginning of season.  Player teaching and correction techniques.  Create an environment where mistakes are encouraged.

5 Rec Lax Coaching Philosophy Coaches are Challenged to get better at their craft.  Make lesser skilled players better.  Use positive coaching tools to better the experience for kids, parents, and you. – Bring back 100% of our kids next season, each season. – Keep experience positive for everyone.

6 Coach Certification Level 1 Clinic - Park Tudor, Indy Feb 1, 9-4pm Level 2 Clinic – Springboro HS, Feb 1, 9-4pm Level 1 & 2 On-line – Uslacrosse.com (Free) US Lacrosse Membership and clinics program will reimburse. Goal – all coaches level 1 certified

14 Housekeeping Items Girls and Boys rules – NOCSAE Balls for games Cancellations: Coaches for practice. Games at discretion of coordinators, notifications via site (text/email). Reschedules: Any practice shoot me an email for field access Safety: – Protective gear on field at all times; throw/shoot on field only; don’t throw/shoot if someone doesn’t have gear. NO EXCEPTIONS. – Lightening – Play resume 30mins after last thunder – Concussion – Weather: snow/rain and/or under 40 degrees.

19 Volunteers Needed Coaches Team Managers: – Uniform Coordination, scheduler, email, website Next Year’s Coaches and Leaders – Boys Coordinator – Uniforms – Instructional Recruiting players and volunteers is an ongoing process, key to the success of the program. Use the sidelines this season to suggest people help out.

20 Thank You For Volunteering!!! IHR Lacrosse has a reputation as the top youth program in Southern Ohio in terms of player skill, team results, and coach/player/parent attitude and involvement.
