4.  The Lewis and Clark expedition took place during his presidency this was to explore land.

5.  Thomas Jefferson helped write the declaration of independence.

6.  Thomas Jefferson started tensions that led to war with Britain after he left office.

7.  Thomas Jefferson did not like slaves, however he owned 187 of his own.  Can you say ladies man? Thomas loved the woman.  He had 5 children die as infants.  He had an affair with his friends wife.  He married a slave, but never admitted to remarrying.  He died on July 4 th, 1826

8.  Served until 1779 in the house of delegates  Third president  Born in Virginia  Served as governor of Virginia  U.S minister to France  Lived 44 years after his wife  Attended college of William and Mary.
