Circles Model - Angles in same segment of a circle Circles Model - Angles in same segment of a circle JUHI MATHUR -2011
2
Concept- In any Circle, angles in the same or equal segments are equal. Concept- In any Circle, angles in the same or equal segments are equal.
3
Step -1 Draw a circle
4
Step-2 Draw another circle with same radius. Mark chord AB on the circle and measure it. Make any angle AEB subtended by chord AB in the major segment.
5
Step-3 Draw another circle with same radius. Mark chord AB (same measure) on the circle and measure it. Make any angle ADB subtended by chord AB in the major segment.
6
Step-4 Draw another circle of same radius. Mark chord AB (same measure) on the circle and measure it. Make any angle ACB subtended by chord AB in the major segment.
7
Step-5 Cut out Triangles ACB, ADB and AEB A B D A B C A B E
8
Step-6 Place the three Triangles ACB, ADB and AEB cut out previously on the circle drawn in Step-1
9
What do you observe when you place Angle ACB, ADB and AEB one over other with vertices A and B coinciding respectively for all angles?
