3  Participate in the High Ability (HA) student identification process.  Work with teachers to differentiate instruction in core subject areas for identified HA students in the regular classroom.  Work with the principal to coordinate and monitor the implementation of the School Improvement Plan as it relates to HA.  Develop on-going parental involvement regarding the HA program in the school.  Attend workshops and conferences that are related to High Ability education.

6  Shine Time: A 30 minute block of time that focuses on RTI. Activities are math and language arts based.  Each classroom has a HA tote with math activities that all students can use. Activities can be used after class work is finished or during indoor recess.  8-STEP: A 30 minute block of time that focuses on classroom standards for the week. HA students go to the enrichment classes.  HA students have created individual projects that were displayed during May’s Literacy Night at Longfellow. Students met for six Wednesdays during their lunch/recess.  P.E.T.S (Primary Education Thinking Skills) grades K-3  Differentiated Activity Folders, grades K-5

7  AST: A 30 minute block of time in which students are grouped based on standards based assessments.  Differentiation through individual enrichment activities  Teacher support with a variety of activities such as Project Based Learning  Honors Classes (ELA and Math)  Academic Success Time (AST): Daily standards- based enrichment activities  Teacher Professional Development
