WHAT is E 2 ? A monthly program that is designed to: Increase academic achievement Improve the graduation rate Increase student involvement in tutoring and extra- curricular activities for those who may have transportation issues Build positive relationships Improve attendance rates Increase school pride and community involvement

WHAT Will Happen During E 2 ? 1.ADMINISTRATIVE DETENTION Assigned by a member of the administrative team 2. TUTORIALS (Students with grades lower than C) Face-to-face On-line 3. ENRICHMENT (Students with grades of C or better) Report to AP or SAT/ACT Test Prep Attend club meetings Report to guidance session Magnet students meet with mentors for senior project Motivational session with a guest speaker Many MORE opportunities

ADDITIONAL OPPORTUNITIES Guidance Topics- Bridge Build, Career Cruising, College planning, etc. Scholarship Lab –(write essays, search for scholarships, apply for scholarships, FASFA, etc) Post-Planning for Seniors (w/counselors) to create a post-graduation PLAN. College Representative presentations Military Academy presentations Enrichment Courses (Elective classes) – African American Studies, Sub Saharan Studies, Sociology, etc. AP Sessions- AP Mock exams, AP study Sessions, AP Help sessions Magnet Sessions- Magnet Research work, Magnet labs, Magnet lectures SC Leadership Conclave Follow ups Student Government meetings Flight Track Reward assemblies (motivation & incentives) Life Classes—Financial literacy and money management, Leadership, etc. Schools with similar plans

WHY do we need E 2 ? 84% of the classes taken, last spring, had students with a 73% or less. This program is designed to help reduced this number and help our students achieve.

The FIRST Session (September 30 th ) Students only have 3 options: 1.Admin. Detention 2.Tutoring (core class) 3.Motivational Speaker Opportunities will increase as the program continues.

Registration Process Sign up with HR Teacher Placement based on grades Step 1 Report to HR before E 2 Tardy policy still in effect for E 2 Step 2 Obtain color coded pass Step 3 Report to designated location Step 4

DISCIPLINARY ACTIONS FOR NOT ATTENDING 1st Offense: E 2 Detention for next session. 2nd Offense: Friday FED (3:45 – 4:30) 3 rd Offense: 1 Day ISS 4 th Offense: 2 Days ISS 5 th + Offenses: OSS
