3 How Does the Web Work? The Web is a new form of mass communication: – Made up of collections of Web pages called Web sites. – Web pages are easy to create and are accessible to everyone. – The Web is part of the Internet: A Global Communications Network. Step-by-Steps 1.1 & 1.2

4 How Does the Web Work? Computers request information from servers: – Browsers on computers use URLs (www.disney.com) to locate Web pages on Servers.www.disney.com – Routers locate the requesting computers and Web servers. Step-by-Steps 1.1 & 1.2
