6 Food Service Technology Center Opened in 1987 Scientific testing facility for benchmarking the energy performance of equipment used in commercial kitchens –Develops standardized test methods for review and approval by the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) Fuel neutral Operated by Fisher-Nickel, Inc. –An engineering consulting firm specializing in the foodservice industry Funded by California utility customers and administered by Pacific Gas and Electric Company under the auspices of the California Public Utilities Commission They are the RTF for foodservice equipment and incentives in California –FSTC maintains list of qualified equipment –Energy Trust is adopting the FSTC specifications for foodservice equipment www.fishnick.com
