The Title? Consider the adjectives used in the title of the book: “Absolutely true” and “part-time.” What is this is reference to? Junior’s internal struggle, or the struggle between Junior and the Social Norm? (Whites vs. Reds) Could it be both? Explain your answer using quotes from the text and practice using the MLA Format!

Part-Time Indian? When Junior is in Rearden, he feels “half- Indian” and when he is in Wellpinit, he feels “half-White.” “It was like being Indian was my job,” he says, “but it was only my part- time job. And it didn’t pay well at all.” Why does Junior feel split like this?
