2 2 Prior Programs Incorporated into the Mitigation Program in 1991 Carmel River Management Program Irrigation Program Interim Relief Program Emergency Irrigation Program Hydrologic monitoring and reporting (stream gaging, groundwater levels and quality, water use by water distribution systems and private wells) Carmel River lagoon habitat monitoring

3 3 Direct Measures Fish rescue, rearing, habitat improvement Streambank and channel restoration Irrigation of Carmel River riparian corridor Vegetation management/modification and augmentation Seaside basin injection/recovery

4 4 Indirect Measures Conservation - e.g. property inspection/retrofits, studies for Pebble Beach reclamation project Enforcement of Ordinances/Rules and Regulations for water use and activities along the Carmel River Management of limited water supplies Monitoring programs (fishery, wildlife, vegetation, water quality and quantity)
