2
DIY Modeling project NSF funded project (Award #0919336) Goal is to produce a virtual modeling environment where game quality models can be developed and used for the teaching of mathematics and science.
3
Participants Tietronix Software United States Military Academy United States Air Force Academy Appalachian State University Georgia Gwinnett College Emporia State University
4
Tietronix Software Frank Hughes, former NASA engineer and astronaut trainer. Develop simulation software for NASA (currently working on a simulator for a moon rover.)
5
DIY Modeling group spent some time underneath space shuttle Endeavor during a visit to the Kennedy Space Center July 2010.
6
DIY Modeling Software Students focus on the math and physics, not the programming. Software can be used at all levels K – Graduate School and beyond. Aids in visualization, especially with 3D situations. Game-quality graphics to hold the attention of students.
