3 A Brief Introduction H.O.L.D: Is an opportunity for many people with long term disabilities to find suitable housing which better suits their needs. 4 How HOLD works: A part rent, part buy housing option. Income Support pay the interest on the ‘Interest Only Mortgage’ up to £200,000. 5 Currently, potential clients are able to purchase properties which are New Build Home Buy (NBHB) or Re- sales, the share being resold by a vendor. Any repairs or maintenance will be the responsibility of the Housing Association to provide. An additional service charge is added onto the lease which is fully Housing Benefit eligible. 6 When the application form with Housing Options is filled out it is then sent on to the HOLD Coordinator at in touch. The potential client will then be assessed to ensure they are fully eligible. When accepted on to HOLD, the HOLD Coordinator will support the client during the finding and purchase of the property. Support will also be provided when the client has moved in for a period of 3-6 months. The length of support provided is based on individual needs.
