Inclusion Quality Mark for schools Smoking section BronzeSilverGold The school has a current whole school non-smoking policy which is understood by staff, pupils and parents/carers and is endorsed by the governing body. CPD is provided to ensure that the policy is understood and translated into action by all. Appropriate to need, the school promotes signposts to stop smoking services to internal and external stakeholders. The school gathers pupil and staff smoking prevalence data and establishes an appropriate referral pathway to support smokers to become non-smokers. The school is registered for the FRESH Smoke Free Quality Standard. The school provides on-going and timely CPD for staff, governors, pupils and parents/carers which has impacted positively. The school is monitoring and evaluating it’s progress towards the FRESH Smoke Free Quality Standard.
