Reading practice Homework is to read 20+ minutes a night. More is always encouraged. Reading assignments at home so we can spend time discussing in class. Practice, practice, practice. Read aloud, read together, read anything! Student should always have a book to read in his/her bag. It is worth a grade for Language class. Homework is to read 20+ minutes a night. Doing it the right way Focus of a writing may only be on opening sentence or conclusion or voice. Students will do it until they get it right. Corrections and revisions are a must. We encourage students to write in cursive for formal assessments. Research shows…. Take the time to do it right. Focus of a writing may only be on opening sentence or conclusion or voice. Book Reports Books must be grade level or above. Required number of pages for each quarter is 150+. Report directions and grading rubric are on my web site. Be sure to check that all directions have been followed. Students need to read new books to them. If the book has been made into a movie……I want them to write about the book.
