Spelling Spalding Method 30 Spalding words per week Nightly Homework Spelling Tests given on Thursday

Phonograms We practice phonograms weekly, both orally and written Quizzes may be given periodically Once a month, we assess all 70 phonograms

Math Common Core Focus Multiplication & Division Fractions Number Sense Geometry Saxon Math 6/5 Textbook Cumulative Practice and Assessment Math Facts Timed Tests – 3 minutes Homework assigned Mon.-Thurs. (few exceptions) Don’t ask if they have homework– ask to see it. Students are responsible for checking their own homework. Help them choose which problems.

Homework Homework assigned Monday-Thursday Students are expected to complete the work and turn it in finished the following day. Missing assignments leads to your child’s grade being lowered and possible low test scores. Parent signature is expected nightly in the student agenda and on the reading log. Don’t ask if they have homework– ask to see it.

Communication Each teacher has a website on our school website. Check your student’s agenda daily for additional communication.

Dress Code See Policy & Procedure Guide Shorts/skort/skirt was too short. All shorts/skorts/skirts need to be knee-length. Pants/Shorts/skirt was not the appropriate color. Colors must be khaki, navy blue or dark blue jeans. (No faded, torn, or tattered jeans) Leggings are not dress-code compliant. Navy blue or white tights are acceptable.

Drop Off/Pick Up Please do not drop children off before 7:45 am. Make sure to display your name plates in your windshield when picking up. Follow the traffic directions entering and exiting the parking areas. The city will begin issuing tickets. PLEASE NO CELL PHONE USE WHILE IN THE PARKING LOT.
