inspire a world of good Use of college Counseling Services is up nation-wide* A LITTLE INFORMATION ABOUT COUNSELING… For Colleges with populations of 1500 and under 16.22 % of students access counseling service for an average of 151 students per year The Counseling Center at Wheelock In the 2014-2015 academic year,19% or 249 students accessed services 60.6% of the students came in for 1 – 5 sessions The busiest months were September and October Nearly 50% had their first appointment by the end of October *Information cited from the AUCCCD 2012 Directors’ Survey

inspire a world of good They might have the courage to ask for help when they need it. They might be encouraged to contact us by a staff or faculty member. They may already have benefitted from a past counseling relationship. They have known histories of psychiatric or emotional challenges, and understand the importance of either getting connected to new services and/or having a place to help monitor existing treatments. They aspire to work in professions that value one’s ability to be self- reflective. EXACTLY WHAT DOES THIS SAY ABOUT THE STUDENTS WHO SEEK COUNSELING HERE AT WHEELOCK?
