LANTANA S.A. For many years LANTANA has produced and exported worldwide high quality wood flooring derived from sub-tropical timber native to Paraguay. Our average production is in excess of 700,000 sq. feet per month of wood flooring with or without traditional tongue & groove parquet for easy installation. We have two hundred specialized employees under a senior management ownership and direction Our woods are products of master craftsmanship under the direction of Italian artisans operating the latest European machinery and equipment. CABREUVA DORADA (BALFOURODENDRON RIEDELIANUM SP)
Brown with lighter shades. Easy to cut, plane, nail, and polish. It can be easily bent. Grain: Fine Density at 15% M.C.:800 kg/m3 – heavy wood Compression strength : Medium High Resistance – 600 kg/cm2 at 15% moisture content. Dimensional stability: Good, if well kiln dried. Static Flexion (at 15% M.C.): Very high resistance (yielding point = 1300/1400 kg/cm2). Durability of timber in ground contact: Good. Moisture Content: USA: under 6% - E.U: 8% +/- 2% – ASIA:12% +/- 2%

CURUPAY (PIPTADENIA MACROCARPA)
Other names: KURUPAY Reddish brown with dark red grain. Quite difficult to cut, machine and nail. Its beauty lies in its irregular grain and ultra-durability. Grain: Irregular Density at 15% M.C.: 1000 KG/m3 – very heavy wood Compression strength: High – 730 kg/cm2 at 15% M.C. Dimensional stability: Good Static Flexion (at 15% M.C.): Very high resistance (yielding point = 1110 kg/cm2). Durability of timber in ground contact: Quite high. Moisture Content: USA: under 6% - E.U:8% +/-2% – ASIA:12% +/-2%

GRAPIA (APULEIA LEIOCARPA)
Other names: YVYRAPERE Light yellow. Quite difficult to cut and nail. Easy to plane with excellent results. Yellow with light to dark grain. Excellent performance. Grain: Fine Density at 15% M.C.: 800 kg/m3 – very heavy wood Compression strength: high strength 730 kg/cm2 at 15% M.C. Dimensional stability: Good Static Flexion (at 15% M.C.): High resistance (yielding point = 1000 kg/cm2) Durability of timber in ground contact: Good Moisture Content: USA: under 6% – E.U: 8% +/-2% – ASIA: 12% +/-2%

GUATAMBU (BALFOURRODENDRON RIEDELIANUM)
Other names: (BRAZIL):PAU MARFIM White with yellowish cream shades. Easy to cut, plane, nail and polish. It can be easily bent Grain: Fine Density at 15%M.C.:800 kg/m3 – heavy wood Compression strength: Medium high resistance 600 kg/cm2 at 15% M.C. Other names: GUAYACAN Dark brown, nearly black, like ebony. Extra hard wood. Very difficult to cut, machine, and nail Grain: Fine Density at 15% M.C.: 1150 kg/m3 – extremely heavy wood Compression strength: High strength – 1020 kg/cm2 at 15% M.C. INCIENSO COLORADO (MIROXILON BALSAMUN)
Other Names: CABRIUVA VERMALHA Reddish with lighter shades. Very easy to saw, plane and nail. Blade wear is normal. It unites pleasant aroma with high resistance, dimensional stability and a smoky red color Grain: Fine Density at 15% M.C.: 850/950 kg/m3 – heavy wood Compression strength: Medium High – 500/600 kg/cm2 at 15% M.C. Dimensional stability: High Static Flexion (at 15% M.C.): Very high resistance (yielding point = 1300/1400 kg/cm2) Durability of timber in ground contact: Good Moisture Content: USA: under 6% – E.U: 8% +/-2% – ASIA: 12% +/-2%

KURUGUAY (HYMENEA PARVOFOLIA)
Dark red with many subtle shades. Difficult to cut, to plane and to nail. From the same botanical family as the Jatoba with uniform red color and excellent performance Grain: Medium Density at 15% M.C.: 1000 kg/m3 – very heavy wood Compression strength: High – 920 kg/cm2 at 15% M.C. Dimensional stability: Very Good Static Flexion (at 15% M.C.): Very high resistance (yielding point = 1600 kg/cm2) Durability of timber in ground contact: Very good Moisture Content: USA: under 6% – E.U: 8% +/-2% – ASIA: 12% +/-2%

JATOBA (HYMENAEA COURBARIL)
Other names: (BRAZIL): FARINHEIRO Salmon red or dark orange when freshly sawn, then becomes dark red. Difficult to cut and plane, but after planing, the timber takes on a very good appearance Grain: Medium-coarse Density at 15% M.C.: 890 kg/m3 – Very heavy wood Compression strength: High kg/cm2 at 15% M.C. Dimensional stability: Good Static Flexion (at 15% M.C.): very high resistance (yielding point = 1660 kg/cm2) Durability of timber in ground contact: Good Moisture Content: USA: under 6% – E.U: 8% +/-2% – ASIA: 12% +/-2%

LAPACHO (TEBEBUJA) Other names (BRAZIL): IPE
Greenish brown with yellowish shades. After planing the timber takes on a very good appearance, but processing is extremely difficult because machinery blades suffer high rate of wear. Very difficult to nail. Fine grained, very hard and compact. Its beams still support the roof of a Jesuit mission after more than 3 centuries Grain: Fine Density at 15% M.C.: kg/m3 – Very heavy wood Compression strength: High – 750/800 kg/cm2 at 15%M.C. PALO SANTO (BULNESIA SARMIENTOS)
Other names: LIGNUM VITAE The hardest, heaviest, and most resistant wood in the world Aromatic. Dark greenish with shades to light brown. Extra hard wood Very difficult to cut, machine and nail Grain: Irregular Density at 15% M.C.: 1280 kg/m3 – Extremely heavy wood Compression strength: Extra strength 1425kg/cm2 at 15% moisture content Dimensional stability: Excellent Static Flexion (at 15% M.C.): Very high resistance (yielding point = kg/cm2) Durability of timber in ground contact: Good Moisture Content: USA: under 6% – E.U: 8% +/-2% – ASIA: 12% +/-2%

PEROBA (ASPIDOSPERMA POLYNEURON)
With grain similar to pink marble, it has excellent stability Light pink to dark pink with longitudinal streaks shades to reddish pink Grain: Fine Density: at 15% M.C.: 840 kg/m3 – heavy wood Compression strength: High, 670kg/cm2 at 15% M.C. Dimensional stability: Good Static Flexion (at 15% M.C.): Very high resistance (yielding point = 1350 kg/cm2) Hard wood, but quite easy to cut, machine and nail Durability of timber in ground contact: Very good Moisture Content: USA: under 6% – E.U: 8% +/-2% – ASIA: 12% +/-2%

SUCUPIRA AMARELA (FERREIRA SPECTABILIS)
Other names: TAPERYVA Brown with yellow-greenish shades. Light yellowish brown with a beautiful grain design similar to feathers, quite heavy and resistant. Easy to cut, after planing, the timber takes on a very good appearance. Difficult to nail Grain: Medium-coarse Density at 15% M.C.:950/1000 m3 – Very heavy wood Compression strength: High – 750 kg/cm2 at 15% M.C. TATAJYVA (CHLOROPHORA TINCTORIA)
Lemon yellow to orange yellow. Very difficult to cut, kiln-dry, machine, plane and nail. Very Resistant Grain: Coarse Density at 15% M.C.: 800 kg/m3 – heavy wood Compression strength : High – 760 kg/cm2 at 15% M.C. Other names: (BRAZIL): CANA FISTULA Pinkish ochre or dark pinkish cream. Often difficult to cut, machine, and nail. Heavy and resistant, but low dimensional stability Grain: Coarse Density at 15% M.C.: 860 kg/m3 – Very heavy wood Compression strength: Medium high strength – 570 kg/cm2 at 15% M.C. Other names (BRAZIL): AMEMDOIM Light reddish-brown with pale pink shades. Easy to cut to plane ,to nail. It can be bent. Quite heavy and highly resistant Grain: Medium Density at 15%M.C.:750/780 kg/m3 – medium heavy wood Compression strength: Medium high – 500/550 kg/cm2 at 15% M.C.
