3. Scene 1
In scene 1, Mercutio and Benvolio are talking about the weather and a possible fight. Tybalt is looking for Romeo to fight him. Romeo refuse to fight Tybalt but he won’t take no for an answer. Mercutio fights Tybalt in place of Romeo, and Mercutio gets killed. Romeo realizes that his love for Juliet has softened him and he seeks revenge and kills Tybalt.

4. Scene 2
In scene 2, Romeo is banished from Verona and if he is found he will be put to death. The young lover realizes of what he has done by causing his soon to be wife, Juliet a lot of pain and sorrow. The nurse goes to Friar Laurence’s quarters to get the time of when Juliet will come and their marriage will commence and to give him a ring.

5. Scene 3
 Romeo is at the Friar’s cell awaiting his punishment.  The Friar tells him he has been exiled.  Romeo says exile is worse then death and the Friar tries to comfort him.  The Nurse arrives and mentions the grieving state of Juliet.  Misunderstanding the Nurse, Romeo attempts to kill himself.  The Nurse explains that Juliet is sad because she may never see her beloved Romeo.  She was not crying because of Tybalt.  The Friar gives Romeo hope by proposing a plan.  Romeo will go see Juliet that night to say farewell and then go to Mantua until it is safe for him to return to Verona.  The lovers can then be safely reunited.  The Nurse also gives Romeo the ring and he is revived.

6. Scene 4
The Capulet's are discussing with Paris his marriage to Juliet.  They decide that because of Tybalt's death they can not have a celebration too soon.  However, Capulet decides that Thursday would be good and sends Lady Capulet to tell Juliet the news.  Paris leaves happily.

7. Scene 5
Romeo and Juliet are in Juliet’s room after arguing if it was light or dark out. The nurse calls to Juliet to tell her that he mother is coming and neither of them want Romeo to leave because they don’t know if they’ll see each other again. Lady Capulet tells Juliet that she’ll be marrying Paris on the upcoming Thursday, and she is not happy. Old Capulet learns that Juliet doesn’t want to marry Paris and tells her is she doesn’t marry him, he’ll disown her. The nurse tries to comfort Juliet even by telling her that should marry Paris.

8. Setting the fight in scene 1 takes place in the streets of Verona
in Scene 2 and scene 5 take place in the Capulet’s orchard
scene 3 takes place in Friar Laurence’s cell
scene 4 takes place in a room of the Capulet’s house
