3. Sojourner ran to her freedom in 1826. She was a slave and hated it. A few years later she met Mr. Abraham Lincoln.

4. Soon everyone knew about Sojourner Truth. She gave speeches about how bad slavery is.

5. One of her famous quotes is I am not going to die, Im going home like a shooting star.

6. Sadly she died of old age in 1883. She lived to be 86 years old!

7. Ms. Truth never gave up even when times were hard. She was born a slave and escaped and then became famous. I think she was a very brave girl and had a lot of heart to help prevent slavery for her people.
