Group Study Room Booking Juno Room booking can be supplied in two variants: – Secure i.e. a lock on the door and a reader/pin pad to open the door. – Non Secure, relies on Student self management. A system can be made up of both secured and non secured rooms. Telepen

Juno Room Booking System Defined Juno is in fact a dual Library Access Control & Room Booking System which can be supplied with both or either elements. The Juno database is populated from the ILS/LMS and the library can define which fields are downloaded. Some fields are compulsory such as “Member Number” & “Expiry Date”. Juno is already in use with connections to Millennium, Sierra, Aleph, Alma, Unicorn, Voyager & Capita. Telepen

Methods of booking a Room On Line At The Door (Secured option) Public Touch Screen or Kiosk Telepen

Room Booking – On Line Telepen First select required date

Room Booking – On Line Telepen Then select room type or location

Room Booking – On Line Telepen Student enters member number. This is filled in automatically if access to page is via Student Portal.

Booking Table Telepen Student then selects desired time slot and confirms.

Booking Confirmation Telepen Student then receives booking confirmation which includes a pin number used for gaining entry to the room. The pin number can be given to other students in the group thus avoiding a situation whereby students have to wait for the booking originator before they can enter a booked room.

Instantly at the Door A user who has not made an online booking can book a room instantly at the door dependent on availability. The display on each RB2 Door Controller will show the next 5 time slots. The student can page up and down to show further time slots. Telepen

Reports The Room Booking software provides useful reports, such as: How many users fail to take advantage of their booking. The general level of bookings made and analysis of popular times of the day, days of the week. Telepen

Room Descriptions Telepen Descriptions and room images can be included to aid students in choosing a room.

Warnings and reminders Email warnings sent to users who do not take advantage of their booking. Email reminders sent the day before the booking due date, to try to maximise usage. Optional text reminders. Telepen

RB2 Telepen Controls Door locks such as Magnetic or electric strike.
