Project Aims Promote active travel to Glasgow 2014 venues Increase proportion of trips made by sustainable, active and healthy travel modes Improve the health of residents and visitors by increasing physical activity through active travel Dramatically improve accessibility of the East End by sustainable travel Reduce transport related CO2 emissions ……………. 9. Package of Measures 1). £2.15m Major Upgrades to Walking and Cycling Infrastructure on 3 Corridors: Clydeside NCN 75 - 7km, off-road link. Personal security upgrades, connections (£250k) Glasgow Green to Parkhead - 2.5km ‘Copenhagen’ style fully kerb segregated cycle route James Street & London Road (£500k) Merchant City to Parkhead - 3km ‘traffic free’ corridor via Gallowgate, entry treatments and pedestrian priority (£1.4m)
