Electric Co. 2.0 Abstract You are planning to build a new family room to add onto your home. A necessity for the new room will be electrical wiring, and you are in need of an electrical contractor to do the work. There are three main components to the electrical work you are requesting: Electrical outlets Wiring for lighting Light switches Buzz Electronics Co. is the perfect company for the job. Electric Co. 3.0 Introduction 3.1 Purpose The purpose of this proposal is to show you how Buzz Electric Co. can complete the electrical work that needs to be done in your family room. We offer competitive prices and quality service that we know you will be satisfied with. 3.2 Needs Analysis You require three distinct projects to be undertaken in your home: 3.2.1 Electrical Outlets 3.2.2 Lighting 3.2.3 Light Switches 3.2.1 Electrical Outlets This portion of the project requires the installation of four 110V electrical outlets in equidistant locations around their family room, two 220V electrical outlets; one outlet located on the west wall, and the other outlet located on the east wall. 3.2.2 Lighting This portion of the project requires electrical wiring on the ceiling of your family room for a fan with a light package as well as wiring for a light to be mounted on the east wall approximately 5 to 6 feet up from the floor and 5 to 6 feet in from the room’s entrance door.

Electric Co. 3.0 Introduction cont. 3.2.3 Light Switches This portion of the project requires the installation of two identical light switches. Both are to be double switches with rheostats for dimming capabilities. Each of light switches are to control the fan and ceiling lights separately from the wall outlets that your family specifies for use with ground-based lighting.

Electric Co. 4.0 Discussion 4.1 Schedule The work for this project will begin on Monday, December 7 and will take approximately eight hours to complete spread out over two separate days. The rough in will be done before the gypsum board is fastened and will be finished after the walls are completed. 4.2 Costs T The following will outline the costs associated with the electrical remodel in your home: 4.2.1 Costs of PartsTable 1

Electric Co. 6.0 Glossary Triac Dimmer Switch - A dimmer switch rapidly turns a light circuit on and off to reduce the energy flowing to a light switch. The central element in this switching circuit is a triac. Romex Electrical Wire - O ften used in a generic sense to refer to any type of non-metallic sheathed electrical cable. More to the point, it's electrical wiring sheathed in a plastic coating.

Electric Co. 6.0 Appendix Buzz Electronics has been in business since 1995. We have worked with thousands of satisfied customers both residential and commercial. We have long-standing contracts with Acme Construction, J&L Builders, Food to Go Groceries, the city of Bayou Bend, LA, and Ross and Teed Auto Showroom. Owner Jeff Bodonald has an Associate & Science degree in Electronics from Sandy Shoal Community College, in Sandy Shoal, LA. He is ETA-I and NASTec certified and also a certified Industrial Journeyman. We have eight employees that are also certified Industrial Journeymen.
