Creating a Hyperlink to a Video You can search the Web for various videos related to your topic If you find a video, you can past the link to your PowerPoint presentation by selecting the URL and right clicking your mouse and selecting copy. Creating a Descriptive Hyperlink to a Web Site Without Needing to Type the URL This a link to an Animal video about funny cats – http://www.break.com/index/dumb-cat-cant-figure-out-how-to- drink.htmlhttp://www.break.com/index/dumb-cat-cant-figure-out-how-to- drink.html Instead of having this large URL in your presentation you want an image of cat to display for the hyperlink – The above URL would be a lot of work to type into the hyperlink dialog box – Instead, we will let the computer take care of entering the URL for us – Insert your image of the cat to the slide – Click on the link for Insert Hyperlink The hyperlink dialog box will display – Go to the Web site containing the video and click on the URL – Return to your PowerPoint presentation and the URL will be displayed in the dialog box – Note: another option is to copy and paste the URL to the hyperlink dialog box Victoria Ricciardiello6
