2 Overview of support given since January 2014 to date  3 sessions of pronouncing expected death – trained 23 staff in various homes (115 staff trained since rolling programme started)  1 session on Advanced Care Planning – 15 staff attended  4 more sessions planned for Advanced Care Planning for this year

3 Continued…  SBAR training in Nursing Homes across Selby & York completed – 127 staff trained Understanding of how to use SBAR tool

4 Continued…  Contract developed for care homes to access the T34 syringe driver through a lending library plus training  Organised 4 sessions end of May/June with a rolling programme - ongoing

5 Continued…  Continued support with Emergency Care Plans  Pressure Ulcer recognition – working towards STOP pressure ulcer day in November 2014  4 sessions running over 2 days every month for registered & non- registered staff

6 Continued…  Bid won for simulation equipment  Basic Observations training – TPR, pulse oximetry, blood glucose monitoring, urinalysis, manual BP – for registered & non-registered staff – 12 sessions already booked with 4-6 at each session  Venepuncture training package being developed

7 Continued support  End of life workshop – 2 day course running in May & June  Nursing Home Forums continue to run on a regular basis with increased attendance
