Peasant feared the nobles would react by hiring outlaws to terrorize them. Destroyed legal papers, and in some instances burned down homes Parisian women rioted over the price of bread. Stormed into Versailles and for King Louis XVI & Queen Marie Antoinette to Paris. Why Paris?
