2. Getting Started… 1. SIGN IN TO ARCGIS ONLINE 2. OPEN OUR MAP OF THE CARIBBEAN 3. CLICK ‘MODIFY MAP’

3. Make all layers visible. ‘Change Symbols’ for Caribbean Ports

4. Under OPTIONS: Change Symbols

5. Choose an appropriate symbol for PORTS.

6. ‘Change Symbols’ for Caribbean Countries

7. Choose Unique Symbols

8. To Show: Country_Name

9. ‘Create Labels’ for Caribbean Countries

10. ‘Create Labels’ for Caribbean Ports.

11. *make the font smaller for Caribbean Ports

12. Add MAP NOTES Layer

13. Name it ‘From Havana’

14. Find the 2 ports you are measuring. Zoom.

15. Click Edit

16. Draw a line between the two ports

17. Activate the ‘Measure’ tool. Measure the distance between the two.

18. Calculate the cruising time. Label the distance & time on the line.

19. Repeat these steps for the next PORT.
