Conclusions on overcoming organizational barriers towards immunizations -I Proposed related contents for the HProImmune Toolkit & relevant activities The importance of leadership, working with leadership and offering leadership material -Access through professional organizations – unions representing - Utilize resources such as e-bulletins -(SMEs – disseminate the toolkit to continuous education training) -(raise awareness about the need to be updated about vaccinations) Address vaccinations with newly employed workers – take the opportunity to inform about vaccinations during orientation Offer easy access and solutions Surveillance -Offer guidance of what is legally and expected expected from a HCWs - in terms of patient safety for example. Develop a template be adapted by each country -Recommendations on who and what to do if they are do not agree -This could also be a tool for the public – knowing that their HCW is vaccinated or not -Sticker -Information on when it is the best time to get a vaccination outside work hours

Self vaccinations? Address the severity of diseases, offer information about disease Messages like “am protecting myself from measles, HepB for example instead of I have received the vaccine Different information material for doctors, nurses and other personnel Information on best practice - how to organize an immunization program addressing policy makers, employers Links to different information and tools

Conclusions on overcoming organizational barriers towards immunizations -III Proposed related contents for the HProImmune Toolkit & relevant activities Content of toolInformation on multiple VPDs and not only influenza, booster Use examples of immunization schedules – they possibly will need to be different for different HCWs categories Include high quality up to date factual information on currently available vaccines, include some historical facts and explain uncertainty in lay terms -Provide information about the diseases (communicable diseases) before the information about the actual vaccine -Information about the date of the source -Updating information -Readiness - preparedness – responding to emerging situations – need for a dynamic tool – website
