1.0Definition of Concepts 1.1 Business Ethics Business ethics is a form of applied ethics that examines ethical principles and moral or ethical problems that arise in a business environment. It applies to all aspects of business conduct and is relevant to the conduct of individuals and business organizations as a whole.

1.2Corporate Social Responsibility Corporate social responsibility (CSR), also known as corporate responsibility, corporate citizenship, responsible business, sustainable responsible business (SRB), or corporate social performance, is a form of corporate self-regulation integrated into a business model. Ideally, CSR policy would function as a built-in, self-regulating mechanism whereby business would monitor and ensure their adherence to law, ethical standards, and international norms (Wikipedia, Encyclopedia)

Business would embrace responsibility for the impact of their activities on the environment, consumers, employees, communities, stakeholders and all other members of the public sphere. Furthermore, business would proactively promote the public interest by encouraging community growth and development, and voluntarily eliminating practices that harm the public sphere, regardless of legality.

1.3.1Business Ethics and CSR in PB Valley Khao Yai Winery The business ethics put place by the company is that whine must not be sold to people who are not yet 18 years old. The CSR in place include employment of locals to the company even those who are above 70 years old. There was also a restaurant which promotes their products to the visitors.

1.3.2 Royal Chritralada Projects, Bangkok Part of the business is run on a non profit basis where they experiment and demonstrate diverse range of agricultural activities keeping in mind the problems faced by the farmers to maximize the welfare of the people and according to the implementors of the Royal Chitralada Projects, emphasis is placed on implementing His Majesty the King’s initiative called “Sufficiency Economy” that encourage the villagers to become self sufficiency and improve their long term quality of life.

The project provide employment to large number of Thai people; milk at subsidized rate to public schools of Thailand; conduct research and development of new products which they provide to farmers example is the hybrid cows, tilapia fish, paper manufacture from mulberry leaves, and recycling of the bi-product such as charcoal, chips, candles for royal celebrations etc; plant tissue culture and experimental rice fields. Training of farmers is provided free of charge. Demonstration centers are located in some of the major provinces to implement the research activities conducted by the Royal Chitralada Projects.

1.3.3Green Spot Company Limited, Bangkok The company ensures that their products are “Halal” this is in line with the Muslim community. They also produce a range of products tailored towards different age groups, taste, region, income etc. They educate and advice customers on use of their products. Their core values which are to be good business person in providing their services and sustainable business growth have been practiced since its inception in 1958 ensures they compete favorably in the market.

They participate in community projects such as sponsoring social programs such as sports activities, children homes, football clinics, promotion shows where they invite music celebrities to perform.

2.0Definition of Concepts 2.1Clusters A business cluster is a geographic concentration of interconnected businesses, suppliers, and associated institutions in a particular field. Clusters are considered to increase the productivity with which companies can compete, nationally and globally (Wikipedia encyclopedia).

2.2Business Networking Business networking is a marketing method by which business opportunities are created through networks of like-minded business people. Here one business networks with another business in various activities.

2.3.1 Development and Strengthening of Clusters and Business-to-Business Networks in PB Valley Khao Yai Winery The company can get the raw material for producing wine from local farmers, hence encourage farmers to form associations to supply the raw materials. This will enable the company to concentrate on the producing quality products to export to other countries apart from Asia.

2.3.2Royal Chitralada Projects The Project should encourage farmers who are supplying raw materials such as honey, milk etc to form associations and cooperative societies. Improve on their networking with the research and development institutions such as universities, colleges, industries, government institutions so that they can improve and commercialize research activities.

Royal Chitralada Projects ( Cont….….) Look for more distribution channels to sell and supply their products such as honey, milk, chips, juice etc. This can improve market linkages. The Project should network with the banks and other financial institutions to finance their future projects.

2.3.3 Green Sport Company Limited The company should encourage farmers who supply raw materials to form associations. These associations can educate farmers on need to supply quality raw material to the company, that is, soya beans. Cooperate with research and development institutions such as universities and colleges to improve their products’ quality.

Green Sport Company Limited (Cont….) Look for more distribution channels to sell and supply their products such as soyamilk to Africa, Latin America and Middle East. This can improve market linkages. They can network with banks and financial institutions to finance the expansion of the plant in Africa, Latin America and Middle East.
