Sample About 1250 surveys mailed to Jamestown households paying for water 409 surveys returned after 1 month

Overall Satisfaction Q4 – “On an overall basis how satisfied are you with the park and recreational facilities offered by Jamestown?” –Over three-quarters are “Extremely” or “Very” satisfied

Incidence And Volume Of Usage Of Facilities Sidewalks are most used and volleyball courts are least

Facilities Needing Improvement Q8 “Based upon your usage and/or perceptions of each Jamestown park/recreational facility, please indicate which facilities you think need improvement.” –A majority of residents were able to comment about the sidewalks –Considerably less than 50% were able to evaluate other facilities

Interest In New Facilities Or Services Greatest interest is in places to walk and least interest is in new tennis courts

Preference For New Facilities From Average Rankings Three new facilities are most preferred: Deep River greenway trail, East Fork Road pedestrian bridge, and greenway hiking trails

In-Depth Look At Tennis Court Evaluations Dissatisfaction and perceived need for improvement of tennis courts is strongly held by the 8.8% who used the courts in the past 12 months –Availability of courts when they want them is not a problem –These residents may be satisfying their need for better courts by belonging to private clubs

In-Depth Look At Golf Course Evaluations Perceptions of residents who have golfed at the local course in the past 12 months (38.6%) mirror all those who evaluated this facility –Satisfaction with Jamestown Golf Course is high
