Spiritual Enrichment – Trail dynamics geared to challenge participants in their walk with Christ, or to begin a walk with Him. A great way to begin the school year! Outdoor Education – Trail dynamics geared to teach outdoor and backpacking skills. Physical lessons are accompanied with spiritual reflections. Junior/Senior Trip – A time of celebrating the student’s achievement in life. A chance for one more great adventure filled with challenges before leaving High School.

Day 1 – Travel Day From Texas Meet @ 7AM Orientation Hit the road @ 10AM Day 2 – Trail Head to Brown’s Creek Gear distribution Begin hiking @ 10AM 6.8 miles to campsite Day 2 – Brown’s Creek to Squaw Creek Trail dynamics 5.4 miles to campsite Prepare for early morning summit of 14,231’ peak

Day 4 – Summit Day, 14,231’ peak Breakfast & Prep @ 4AM Summit attempt Evening celebration & debrief Day 5 – Squaw Creek to State Park Campground Trail dynamics Begin hiking @ 10AM 3 miles to campsite Day 6 – State Park to Lost Creek Trail dynamics 2.8 miles to campsite Prepare for early morning hike in the dark

Day 7 – Final Day in the Wilderness Break camp @ 3AM Headlamp hike to ridge for sunrise experience Finish trail & rendezvous with shuttle vehicle Day 8 – Travel Day Return to Texas Arrival @ 7AM Celebration & debrief with parents/caregivers Friendships formed. Truths learned. Decisions made. Lives changed.

General Information NPA is a faith-based organization and part Of Reach Youth Global, a 501(c)3 entity. Our programs are designed to impact the whole person, according to 1 st Thessalonians 5:23, spirit, soul and body. Daily challenges and instruction will focus on each of these areas of the participant’s life.

General Information Minimum Age: 12 years old. Maximum Age: 18 years old, but must still be in High School. 1 parent may be allowed to attend with their child(ren) space permitting. NPA Director will make this determination on a case-by-case need.

General Information Minimum group size – 4 Maximum group size – 12 NPA will provide 1 program staff for every 4 participants. Staff are experienced backpackers, trained in first aid or as wilderness first-responders.

General Information Cell phone coverage is available at many points along the designated route. Program staff will give update reports to base crew whenever possible. Those reports will be shared with parents through email or text messages.

Program Costs All programs are 8-days (2 travel + 6 program) Participant Cost - $390.00 / participant Includes: * Meals on the trail * Program / Instruction * Equipment rental - tent - stove & cooking fuel - cooking & eating utensils - two 1-liter water bottles - sleeping bag & sleeping pad - backpack - headlamp w/batteries - emergency whistle - rain poncho - ground cloth * Wilderness Rescue Insurance NOTE: Use of your own personal gear does NOT result in a discounted cost.

Payment 25% down in order to reserve program date and spot. This down payment is non-refundable. 25% due 30 days before program date. Final 50% due on departure day. Partial refund available for cancellations made at least 14 days before scheduled departure date. No refunds after 14 days prior to program date. $40 discount per participant, if fees are paid in full at time of reservation. A personal clothing & equipment list, along with pre-trip planning information will be available upon receipt of the 25% reservation fee.

Travel Plan Options Option A: Your group supply it’s own transportation. * Plan $500 fuel allowance / vehicle. * Meals / Snacks / Drinks en route are the responsibility of each participant and not included in the program costs. Suggested amount per person - $40. Option B: Your group rent NPA’s van & trailer for $1400 * Includes fuel. * 2 Drivers. * Transport of personal and group gear and food. * Additional destination charges may apply, depending upon agreed upon rendezvous point.

Additional Information Departure day of the week is flexible depending upon the needs of the group. Special dietary needs cannot be met by the program menu. These must be addressed personally by the participant. Any special needs must be communicated to the Director at least 2 weeks prior to departure date. It is suggested that a welcome home celebration be organized by the parents of participants in order to debrief, share and solidify life-changing decisions made on the trail. Each group must include at least 1 participating adult when choosing travel option “A”. NPA reserves the right to limit the number of adults on each adventure.
