2. Knowing The Keyboard Today we will talk about: Letter Keys Space Bar Backspace Tab key

3. Letter Keys Use the letter keys to type your name. Make sure you only put one space in between your first and last name These are some of the letter keys

4. Space Bar Hit the space bar (only one time) after you type your first name The space bar is the long key on the bottom of the keyboard. ONLY HIT IT ONE TIME! Then type your last name.

5. Backspace Use the backspace to correct any mistakes that you may have made The backspace key is located above the ENTER key.

6. Tab Key Hit the tab key after you have entered your name. Hitting the tab key will bring your cursor down to the password field.

7. Now enter your Password Your password was defined by your teacher. Let’s ask the teacher now what the password is. HEY, Teacher ……

8. Now that you have typed your name and password lets click on the Odyssey link below to practice. When you are done practicing click on the red X to exit. COMPASS ODYSSEY (link currently unavailable)

9. Other things to do in Computer Class Always sit up tall in your chair Put two hands on the keyboard. Raise your hand if you need help. Treat the equipment nicely, please don’t drop anything. Always do your own work. Try your hardest.
