2. How Sin Entered the World  1. Some angels disobeyed God and now live as demons under the leadership of the devil (liar), or Satan, (enemy).  2. The devil tempted Adam and Eve to disobey God.  3. Adam and Eve deliberately disobeyed and lost God’s image.

3. The Results of Sin  1. We are all born in a sinful condition. (inherited sin)  2. Our sinful condition leads to sinful words and actions. (actual sin)  3. We deserve God’s punishment and eternal death.  4. We suffer pain and sorrow as the consequence of sin.  5. All of nature lost its perfection also.

4. What Did God Do for Sinful Mankind?  1. He said that sin must be punished and paid for, but that a Savior would take the punishment for us.  2. He said that perfection was still required for eternal life, but that a Savior would give his holiness to us as a gift.

5. What Did God Do for Sinful Mankind?  3. He sent his Son, Jesus, as the perfect Lamb of sacrifice.  4. He gives salvation to all who personally trust in Jesus.
