3. Weekly HAR Market Stat Homeownership is at its lowest level in 20 years and has been steadily dropping since the national housing bubble years from 2004 to 2006. Interestingly, we are now at levels consistent with a healthy market. Also, rising rents should eventually give cause to more households seeking ownership positions. In the Houston region, for the week ending October 26: New Listings increased 5.9% to 1,967 Pending Sales increased 31.1% to 1,773 Closed Sales increased 7.8% to 1,394
