Land Banking and Tax Sale Reform Mayor Luke Ravenstahl has been a leader in our Commonwealth for reclaiming vacant and tax delinquent properties We’re advocates for State legislative reform like HB 1682 land bank enabling legislation and related state legislation

Recommendations and Action Steps Our current system works, is fully funded and creates net positive revenue Land recycling budget review

Action Steps: 2012 Enable and appoint a Land Recycling Standing Committee Use funds created by the Land Recycling system Enable current system to coordinate, expand toward comprehensive land recycling All spending directed towards more neighborhood demolition, greening, development and property management that creates value

Land Recycling Committee’s Charge Deliver highest and best use of that investment capital to generate the largest return possible in terms of dollars and livability

Land Recycling Committee’s 2012 goals Act on 30% of the delinquent portfolio assumed abandoned and uncollectible, and Bring up to 30% of that part of the delinquent portfolio back to taxable status or productive reuse
