Water Resources –Receiving Waters  Receiving Waters (2% of land area is streams) Series of unnamed streams flowing into the North Branch of the Potomac River – Lower North Branch segment  Impervious Surface Ratio Existing: 12.6% - indicates minimal impact to water quality Estimated Future: some impacts on biodiversity, fish population, stream conditions and water quality are expected.  Stormwater Management It is estimated that less than 1% acres is treated Impervious surfaces + steep slopes + highly erodible soils + limited hydric soils + untreated stormwater run-off = impact to water quality and streams conditions High Sedimentation & Stream Bank Destabilization/Erosion
