We wanted to know what you thought of the Inquiry We invited everyone to complete the survey over several months via: social media (twitter, facebook) website conferences, meetings, presentations personal communication 135 people responded to our survey The following slides are a summary of what you thought… About the stakeholder survey…

What could we do better? Some of your suggestions, comments, thoughts were…....demonstrate that recommendations are cost effective and publicise this..making data available at sub-national level..more information back to organisations as a benchmark..annual reports that are more locally focused..stronger positive links with MH ward staff (e.g. training resources)..distribute among clinicians who are not psychiatrists..it would be useful if organisations were required to implement recommendations as opposed to considering the recs..how about an i-phone app …acknowledge that people will commit suicide whatever service they get…insufficient resources… those we have are misused.. overemphasis on mental iIlness and suicide.. suicide is a societal issue.. findings re: homicide much more balanced and helpful..better publicity..capture examples of good practice..link with other orgs as landscape of mental health patient pathway changes..NCISH are missing opportunity to look at role of general health services in reducing risk..no clear evidence of medical efficacy
