2. H OW DO YOU FIND THE SLOPES OF A LINE GIVEN THE COORDINATES OF TWO POINTS ON A LINE ?

3. L INES AND S LOPE  Any linear line has a constant slope.  The slope is found by calculating the ratio of the rise and run.  There are 2 methods to find slope, graphically and algebraically.

4. T YPES OF S LOPE  Negative slope: falls to the right  Positive slope: rises to the right  Zero slope: looks like a horizontal line  Undefined slope: looks like a vertical line

5. S LOPE : A LGEBRAICALLY  To find slope algebraically you use the formula for slope:  You will be given 2 points then plug them into the formula.  (9, 4) and (11, 7)
