1. THE ESSENCE OF GENEROSITY Exodus 25:1-8 (NKJV) GOD’S REQUEST Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: 2 “Speak to the children of Israel, that they bring Me an offering. From everyone who gives it willingly with his heart you shall take My offering. 3 And this is the offering which you shall take from them: gold, silver, and bronze; 4 blue, purple, and scarlet thread, fine linen, and goats’ hair; 5 ram skins dyed red, badger skins, and acacia wood; 6 oil for the light, and spices for the anointing oil and for the sweet incense; 7 onyx stones, and stones to be set in the ephod and in the breastplate. 8 And let them make Me a sanctuary, that I may dwell among them.

MORE THAN ENOUGH Exodus 36:5-6 (NKJV) 5 and they spoke to Moses, saying, “The people bring much more than enough for the service of the work which the Lord commanded us to do.”6 So Moses gave a commandment, and they caused it to be proclaimed throughout the camp, saying, “Let neither man nor woman do any more work for the offering of the sanctuary.” And the people were restrained from bringing,

BLESSED TO BE A BLESSING Exodus 12:35-36 (NLT) 35 And the people of Israel did as Moses had instructed; they asked the Egyptians for clothing and articles of silver and gold. 36 The Lord caused the Egyptians to look favorably on the Israelites, and they gave the Israelites whatever they asked for. So they stripped the Egyptians of their wealth!

4. IT ALL COMES FROM GOD & BELONGS TO GOD 1 Chronicles 29:12-16 NLT Wealth and honor come from You alone, for You rule over everything. Power and might are in Your hand, and at your discretion people are made great and given strength. “O our God, we thank You and praise Your glorious name! But who am I, and who are my people, that we could give anything to you? Everything we have has come from You, and we give You only what You first gave us! We are here for only a moment, visitors and strangers in the land as our ancestors were before us. Our days on earth are like a passing shadow, gone so soon without a trace.“O Lord our God, even this material we have gathered to build a Temple to honor Your holy name comes from You! It all belongs to You!

5. GOD IS OUR SOURCE John 3:27Amplified Bible (AMP) 27 John answered, “a man can receive nothing [he can claim nothing, he can take unto himself nothing except as it has been granted to him from heaven.” [A man must be content to receive the gift, which is given him from heaven; there is no other source.]

6. SPIRIT OF GENEROSITY Isaiah 32:8 (NLT) But generous people plan to do what is generous, and they stand firm in their generosity.
