MARINE EXPEDITIONARY BRIGADE: The cumulative requirement for large scale MEB operations is a 7 to 10 day period (both day and night time periods), that includes ACE/AIRSPACE: 50,000 AGL & 50X80 (60x90) NM;
GCE & LCE/ LAND AREA: 892 Mi; SEASPACE: 10,000 NM littoral sea space, including an area at least 15 nm wide, and contiguous to the beachfront capable of supporting amphibious vehicle and landing craft training, and extending seaward to the simulated ARG/ESG element location.

Base Support Installations (BSI).
The Combatant Commander may designate an installation of any Service or Defense Agency to provide the JFC/JTF/DCO specified, integrated resource support to the DoD MSCA response effort. This installation is normally located outside of, but within a relative proximity to the disaster area.
Support Provided - Resources provided by BSIs may include, but are not limited to: technically qualified personnel to assist in disaster response, minimal essential equipment, and procurement support. A BSI may also serve for marshalling and staging, or mobilization area for MSCA support.
