OBJECTIVE TO REQUEST AN UPGRADE OF ANY AWARD PRESENTED TO A MARINE WHEN A HIGHER MEDAL IS AVAILABLE AND BELIEVED TO BE WARRANTED UNCLASS

SUBMISSION OF RECLAMA THE RECLAMA MUST BE SUBMITTED TO THE ORIGINAL AWARDING AUTHORITY VIA THE MARINE’S CHAIN OF COMMAND IF THE ORIGINAL AWARDING AUTHORITY HAS BEEN TRANSFERRED, THE MARINE FILLING THAT BILLET BECOMES THE AWARDING AUTHORITY * UNCLASS * SEE COMBAT AWARDS

COMBAT AWARDS * THE ONLY EXCEPTION TO THE RULE IS COMBAT AWARDS ALL COMBAT AWARDS WILL BE ROUTED TO THE NEXT HIGHER AWARDING AUTHORITY IF THE ORIGINAL AWARDING AUTHORITY HAS BEEN TRANSFERRED OR THEIR AWARDING AUTHORITY HAS BEEN RESCINDED UNCLASS
