1. Your challenge is to create a fantasy world. It can be set anywhere – real or imagined – and can be in the present, past or future. Task 1 – mind map Create a mind map with the key information for your world. Think about the following: inhabitants climate terrain – towns/countryside government/ruler other – food, transport, pastimes, education etc.

2. Task 2 – Map Draw and label a map of your world.

3. Task 3 – write an autobiography of one of the people who lives there. Remember the features of autobiography

4. Task 4 – write a short story about something which happens there 1 main character 1 main setting 1 main event – usually a problem for the main character A solution, resolution or ending

5. Task 5 – now see if you can turn your story into a comic strip.

7. Task 7 – now design a cover and contents page for your work. Before handing it in you should check for any technical errors – spelling, punctuation etc. Have you made your writing interesting by using a varied vocabulary? How many different genres have you used within this piece of work?
